Dorothy moved to the Quad Area following her retirement from the workforce. As a new resident of Lino Lakes, she knew she needed to get connected to the area. How was she going to do that? Her husband a decorated Viet Nam War Vet, found his connections at area American Legions and VFW's. Supporting each other and their marriage lead to many of the connections she has today.
Dorothy's 35 year career was in health care foodservice and leadership. After she retired she missed her professional family and decided to support the industry as a volunteer.
Dorothy's current roles are mother, grandmother, member of Quad Area Chamber, Lions International, Rotary International, Toastmasters International, Association of Nutrition and Foodservice Professionals, Nutrition Foodservice Education Foundation Board of Trustees, Freedom Fishing Foundation Board of Directors, Beyond the Yellow Ribbon Northeast Metro, American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Disabled American Veterans.
She recognizes that her physical and mental health needs purpose and that is "making a difference for just one person at any moment in time."
